Southend Airport is an ever-growing regional airport owned by the Stobart group. During the 1960's the airport was one of London's three main airports, however, it soon gave way to the likes of London Stansted & Gatwick. In recent years, the airport has seen a boost in passenger numbers due to the continuous invest from its' new owners. Easyjet now operate services to many European destinations, alongside Aer Arann and proposed services from Thomson beginning in the summer of 2014.
